Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your Tugende Afric representative and guide will warmly welcome you. After a quick refresh, we depart Nairobi, descending the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley for a breathtaking photo stop. We continue to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. After settling in, Tugende Afric kicks off your safari with an afternoon game drive in this pristine wilderness, your first chance to seek out the legendary Big Five. Return to Emayian Luxury Tented Camp for dinner under the vast African sky.

Today is dedicated entirely to the Mara’s magic. With your Tugende Afric guide, you’ll spend a full day exploring the rolling plains, a stage for nature’s greatest drama. Witness immense herds of elephants, watch for lions on the prowl, and see thousands of wildebeest and zebra (season dependent). We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by the sounds of the wild, before continuing our search for leopard, cheetah, and rhino. Return to your camp, filled with the day’s incredible sightings.

We start with an early game drive before breakfast, then bid farewell to the Mara. En route to Lake Naivasha, Tugende Afric arranges a meaningful visit to a Maasai Village to learn about this iconic community’s rich culture and traditions. After lunch at Sawela Lodge, the afternoon offers a complete change of pace: a serene boat ride on Lake Naivasha. Glide past hippos, watch for giraffes in the acacia woodlands, and marvel at the spectacular birdlife. It’s a peaceful interlude before dinner at the lodge.

After breakfast, we journey south with Tugende Afric towards Amboseli National Park, famous for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. We arrive at Ol Tukai Lodge for lunch, with the mountain’s snow-capped peak (weather permitting) as your backdrop. An afternoon game drive introduces you to Amboseli’s vast, dry plains and famously large elephant herds. Enjoy a sundowner as the sun sets behind Africa’s highest peak.

Rise early with Tugende Afric for a magical pre-dawn game drive, capturing the perfect photograph of elephants with Kilimanjaro glowing in the morning light. After breakfast, choose your adventure: relax at the lodge, join an optional visit to a local Maasai homestead, or embark on a guided nature walk. We reconvene for an afternoon game drive, searching for lions, buffalo, and the park’s diverse birdlife before another magnificent sunset.

We take one last morning look at Kilimanjaro before breakfast. Tugende Afric then guides you east to the vast and rugged Tsavo West National Park. Famous for its dramatic lava flows, springs, and the legendary “man-eating” lions of history, Tsavo is raw and beautiful. Its elephants are often dusted red from the soil. After lunch at Ngulia Lodge, an afternoon game drive reveals this unique landscape’s wonders.

A final morning game drive in Tsavo is followed by a unique transition. Your Tugende Afric guide will take you to the Voi SGR Station, where you’ll board the modern Madaraka Express train for a scenic and comfortable journey to the coast. Upon arrival in Mombasa, you’ll be transferred to the stunning Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort on Diani Beach. The sound of the ocean waves replaces the call of the wild as you begin your beach relaxation.

The next two days are yours to unwind and soak up the sun. Tugende Afric has arranged your stay on a half-board basis, giving you complete freedom. Swim in the turquoise Indian Ocean, relax by the pool, try snorkeling or jet-skiing, or simply stroll along the pristine white sands. This is your time to reflect on your safari adventures while indulging in coastal serenity.

On your final morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and perhaps one last walk along the beach. When the time comes, you will be transferred to Mombasa Airport for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon for your onward international connection, your heart and camera full of incredible memories.
