Welcome to Uganda! Your TugendeAfric adventure begins as our professional guide meets you at Entebbe International Airport. We will provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe. After you settle in, your guide will deliver a detailed briefing about the incredible days ahead and share your final itinerary. The remainder of the day is yours to rest and acclimate, preparing for an early departure into the wilderness.

After a hearty breakfast, TugendeAfric escorts you on a captivating journey southwest towards the UNESCO-listed Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive offers stunning views of Uganda’s rolling hills, tea plantations, and vibrant rural life. We will take you directly to your lodge near your designated gorilla trekking sector (Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, or Nkuringo), carefully selected based on your permit. The evening is for relaxing on your private balcony, listening to the calls of the ancient forest, and building anticipation for tomorrow's monumental trek.

This is the pinnacle of your TugendeAfric journey. After a very early breakfast, we ensure you arrive at the park headquarters by 7:30 AM for the essential briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. With permits verified, your trek into the dense, mystical forest begins. The hike is a true adventure, leading to an awe-inspiring hour spent in the presence of a mountain gorilla family. Observing their human-like behaviors in their natural habitat is a profoundly moving and humbling experience. You will return to the lodge with a certificate to commemorate this achievement. If your trek concludes early, TugendeAfrica can arrange an optional, powerful cultural visit to the Batwa community.

After breakfast, we depart Bwindi for the primate-rich Kibale National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and enjoy a hot lunch. In the afternoon, you will head to the park headquarters for a 2:00 PM briefing before embarking on your chimpanzee tracking adventure. Trek through the lush forest to find these charismatic and intelligent beings, observing their complex social interactions. The forest is also alive with other monkeys and a dazzling array of bird species. In the evening, enjoy a hearty dinner and perhaps share the day's stories around a welcoming fireplace.
