Itienerary

Your adventure begins as you land at Entebbe International Airport. Your personal Tugende Afric guide will welcome you with genuine warmth. We will transfer you to your hotel, where your guide will provide a comprehensive briefing on the incredible journey ahead. The evening is yours to relax and rest, preparing for the rich experiences to come.

Today, Tugende Afric immerses you in the rich heritage of the Baganda kingdom. We spend the entire day at Ewaffe Cultural Village, where you are an active participant. Dress in traditional attire, learn ancient food preparation methods, and understand the community’s social fabric. The day culminates in a feast of authentic Baganda food, served in the traditional way amidst shared stories. If time allows, Tugende Afric may treat you to a vibrant evening of music and dance at the Ndere Centre.

After breakfast, we journey west with Tugende Afric. En route, we make a spectacular stop at the top of the thundering Murchison Falls for breathtaking views and photos. We then continue our scenic drive towards the primate-rich forests, enjoying lunch en route before arriving at your lodge near Kibale National Park for a relaxed evening.

We rise for the day’s great adventure. With expert trackers from Tugende Afric and Kibale National Park, we venture into the dense forest for chimpanzee tracking. Walk amidst a symphony of birdcalls and rustling leaves for a chance to observe these intelligent, playful beings in their natural habitat—an unforgettable encounter in the Primate Capital.

After breakfast, we journey south into the rolling hills of the Ankole region. This scenic transfer offers a glimpse of rural Ugandan life. We arrive at the Nshenyi Cultural Village in the afternoon, where you will settle in and feel the slower, pastoral pace of life that defines this community.

Wake at dawn for a grounding, timeless experience. With your Ankole hosts, you will participate in the morning ritual of milking the majestic, long-horned Ankole cattle. After a hearty breakfast, Tugende Afric guides you through a hands-on farm immersion, visiting the apiary to learn about traditional honey harvesting and understanding the sustainable practices of this agrarian community.

Today is a relaxed day and after breakfast client rest, pack their bags and get
them to the car, at noon they will have an early lunch after which drive to
Bwindi forest NP

This is the day. After a very early breakfast, your Tugende Afric guide ensures you arrive at the briefing point by 7:30 am. Following registration and an essential briefing, we step into the ancient forest. The trek leads to a moment of pure, humbling wonder: one precious hour with a family of mountain gorillas. This profound, life-affirming experience, facilitated by Tugende Afric, culminates in a certificate from this world heritage site.

Today, we connect with the original inhabitants of these forests. After breakfast, Tugende Afric facilitates a respectful and enlightening visit to the Batwa community. This cultural encounter shares the story, songs, and skills of the first people of Bwindi, offering a powerful perspective on coexistence and cultural heritage. The afternoon is for relaxation and packing, reflecting on the depth of your journey.

After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Kampala. Tugende Afric will ensure a scenic drive, with opportunities for a final glimpse of the countryside and a stop at a crafts market for last-minute souvenirs, should time allow. We will deliver you to Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala, filled with indelible memories of connection and wild beauty.
