Your island adventure begins the moment you land at Zanzibar Airport. Look for your friendly Tugende Afric driver holding a sign with your name we’ll be there with a warm welcome! We’ll transfer you to your hotel to check in and leave your bags, and then the exploration begins.

First, we set sail for the fascinating Prison Island. Here, with your Tugende Afric guide, you’ll witness and photograph the gentle giant Aldabra tortoises and learn the intriguing, short history of this historic island.

In the afternoon, we dive into the living history of Stone Town. A passionate local professional guide, arranged by Tugende Afric, will lead you through narrow alleys and past iconic landmarks. You’ll see the majestic House of Wonders, pause at the Freddie Mercury House, and visit the profound sites of the Former Slave Market and the Sultan’s Palace, absorbing the deep history and rich Swahili culture that makes Zanzibar unique.

Today, Tugende Afric takes you on a classic Zanzibar seafaring adventure the Safari Blue trip. We’ll provide your private transfer to Fumba village, where you’ll join a shared boat for a day of pure island magic.

You’ll relax on a stunning sandbank, swim in turquoise waters, and snorkel over pristine coral reefs teeming with tropical life with expert guides (perfect for beginners, too!). Fresh coconuts and local snacks keep you refreshed.

The adventure continues on Kwale Island for a spectacular feast. Your Tugende Afric-included buffet lunch features the day’s fresh catch grilled fish, slipper lobster, calamari, rice, and sauces all served hot from the grill. The day culminates with a gastronomic tasting of delicious tropical fruits. After this unforgettable day, your private Tugende Afric transfer will return you to your hotel.

We’ll explore a working spice farm, where you’ll touch, smell, and taste the very roots of Zanzibar’s identity. See spices growing, witness coconut tree climbing, and sample an array of fresh, exotic fruits.

Around 12:30 pm, we’ll visit the Mwanga Pwani Old After breakfast, your Tugende Afric guide will pick you up at 9:00 am for an iconic island experience: the Spice Tour. We’ll explore a working spice farm, where you’ll touch, smell, and taste the very roots of Zanzibar’s identity. See spices growing, witness coconut tree climbing, and sample an array of fresh, exotic fruits.

Around 12:30 pm, we’ll visit the Mwanga Pwani Old Cave before sitting down to a traditional local lunch prepared right in the spice farm. This is authentic Zanzibari flavor at its source.
